Brand Redesign: Chicks with Picks becomes Chicks Climbing.
After adding a rock climbing division to her infamous Chicks with Picks ice climbing clinics, Kim Reynolds saw the opportunity to strengthen and redefine her brand.
With two well-known businesses in the outdoor industry, owner Kim Reynolds decided to her combine and create an “epicenter” for women’s climbing.
The Chicks Branding makeover included the merging of two business divisions, Chicks Rock Climbing and Chicks Ice Climbing. The business had grown to the point of needing a new logo that consolidated its divisions, and a website that incorporated everything Chicks offers under one, easy-to update roof. The website also had to incorporate all of their social media and blogging in one, hip online presence.

Dayzign designed a new logo that incorporated both rock and ice climbing in the same, recognizable sassy-girl logo.
Then for the website:
A WordPress platform was used for ease of client updating and content organization. Dayzign designed the site to include warm rock backgrounds for the rock climbing sections, and an icy cold look for the ice climbing.
A three column website was designed to meet all of the client’s needs: the main column for general text and slide shows, the social media column with the latest blog feeds, facebook and twitter links, and the information column, giving viewers all they need to know about the products they are interested in, relative to that product page.
Sassy graphics, custom illustrations and catchy headlines work throughout the website to portray the Chicks brand that women climbers across the country love.
Of the new site, Kim says, “Kellie took the time to thoroughly understand how our two brands came together in one new parent company. From there, she designed a stunning, cutting edge website that features all the latest and coolest blogging, social networking and editing features. We love it, and more importantly, our clients love it!”
