Erin Kennedy has a flair for engaging the public in Copper Mountain activities. From summer evening bands with fireworks, to yoga retreats with Rodney Yee, and now this …
This summer’s doggie fun run took place at Copper Mountain Colorado, with dock diving, a yappy hour, and live music. What dog owner wouldn’t want to swing by?
We took Erin’s ideas of incorporating a high energy silhouette with multiple dog types, and threw in flies, dog bones, tennis balls, and paw prints flying off the racing dogs. The goal: to capture the fun and energy the event promised in one smashing logo design.
With 20 years of logo design, we understand how to design a clean, intriguing logo that works from the smallest of applications – your business card – to large ones like banners and tshirts.
Erin has moved on to a new life in Banff this year, we wish her luck and envy all the fun they’ll get to have up there!

There are a lot of great logo designs out there, but what it really comes down to is, what’s your story?
The Great Outdoor Company came to Dayzign Graphics for a logo design that tells a story – not just their story, the one of many families who grew up camping and recreating in the outdoors. Think: Norman Rockwell/station wagon/nostalgic family camping trips/maybe Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon. Which can bring up the most interesting of memories, and for most of us, distinct visual images.
For Steve Omernick, founder of The Great Outdoor Company, it’s aspen trees, high mountain lakes, and Colorado mountain ranges.
Dayzign’s logo design for the Company “GO” was more than just another pretty graphic. We strove to capture that “Ahhhh” feeling you get when your tent or camper is finally setup, and you kick back to enjoy the view. We used images of local mountains to form the illustrative style, along with a personalized color palette that mimics the store experience.
Most of all, our goal was to capture the story. Which is exactly what great logo design strives to do. Communicate your story to your people. In the age of mobile graphics, simplified images and corporate branding, we say, don’t forget your people! Your core story is what keeps us attached and coming back for more.

Energy, Colors & Fun the Key to Kids Design
Adventure based, dynamic, and playful, Voyager Youth Group Director Laura Thomas wanted a visually distinctive design scheme for her organiztion that included a cohesive suite of marketing materials.
“My organization wanted an updated look for our logo and promotional materials that maintained our identity.” Says Exec Director Laura Thomas. “Dayzign delivered.”
Using vibrant colors, grunge backgrounds and playful icons, Dayzign designed a suite of materials for Voyager beginning with the logo and including rack cards and business cards. Key words and phrases were blown up or placed next to eye-catching graphics to give them prominence and interest.
Included in their design package along with the logo, rack card and business cards, were “Corporate Identity” guidelines that outline the organization’s new color scheme, font family and layouts. This way the organization has a handy design reference and can keep their marketing consistent throughout all uses.
“I feel so proud of our new look! Kellie was a dream to work with – responsive, attentive, and right on time. I feel like we now have a design identity that communicates who we are.”
